Artist: Randy Walters

Randy Walters, owner of Farmville Furniture Company, will be the AOM for March. Randy has been interested in art since childhood and has been painting as long as he can remember. He has an art education degree from ECU and taught art in the Nash County Public School System (Southern Nash High School). He paints in oils and acrylics, primarily in an impressionistic manner. Some years ago, the Greenville Museum of Art hosted a one-man show of his work.
His work will be on display from March 8-28 at the DeVisconti Event Center on Wilson Street. FCAC is honored to partner with the DeVisconti Event Center in this endeavor and opportunity to explore additional spaces for display of artwork in Farmville.

Originally from Tarboro, Mr. Wilson has been painting since he was a young child. His work seeks to capture the everyday beauty of the human spirit. His paintings hang in many private and public collections including the homes of Ms. Knowles (Designer and mother of Beyonce), Gladys Knight, and Tom Joyner. He is also the illustrator of the children’s book, Push, Daddy, Push, a story about a young girl learning to ride a bicycle.

Ms. Taylor, a former member of the Farmville Arts Society, began studying oil painting in 1967 under the direction of local artists Clara Flanagan and Dan Morgan.
After working for the Pitt County Schools and as a photographer for The Farmville Enterprise, Kay returned to art full-time. Inspired by a six week trip to South Africa, she photographed a variety of animals on game drives and completed several paintings of animals in their habitats.
